What counts as a scan?
Each receipt you upload from the web app or forward to your private @in.scan-ai.ca address counts as one scan. Multi-page PDFs and emailed receipts each count once, not per page.
Are any features locked to paid plans?
No. Every plan includes the full feature set: tax categorization, CSV/IIF/Xero export, email forwarding, QuickBooks and Xero sync, budget tracking, and multi-currency. Plans differ only by how many receipt scans and AI chats you get.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from the billing page in one click. No lock-in, no cancellation fees. You keep access until the end of the current billing period.
Can I switch tiers mid-month?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current period so you keep what you've already paid for.
What happens when I hit my monthly cap?
Starter gets 30 receipts and 5 chats per month; Pro gets 200 chats. When you hit a cap, you'll see a prompt to upgrade. Your historical data stays accessible regardless.
Is there a long-term commitment?
No. Everything is month-to-month. Start on the free trial (20 receipts), upgrade to Starter or Pro when you need more, cancel any time.
Do you offer annual pricing?
